Today in my Facebook notifications, I received the link to buy tickets for my (gulp) 20th high school reunion. My brain is in denial with this passage of time. And to add insult to injury, Kenzie wanted a '90s themed birthday party this year, because she likes "retro" things.
So last weekend, I sucked it up and became the rad hostess to 8 teenage girls who were giggling, dancing and ring popping through my house for two days. Kenzie had a blast. The girls were incredibly well behaved and I might even be willing to do something like this again next year.
Over the next couple of weeks, I will be sharing all of the steps and prep that went into throwing this party. First up: The invitations.
Aren't these cute? They were designed by my friend Jen, and purchased through her etsy shop. She will change the name, age and party information for you when you order. Then you get a digital download that you can have printed anywhere you want.
We had these printed at CVS on photo paper. They were the perfect size, and the blank back allowed MacKenzie to write little messages and doodles on the backs for her guests.
These invites set the mood for the party. Next week I will show you the welcome banner. I hope you are as excited as I am.
Have a totally Rad weekend, and thanks for stopping by.
